VerseSense ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information We Collect
- Mood notes: When you type how you're feeling, this text is sent to our AI service (OpenAI) to infer your emotional state and select a relevant verse. This text is not stored on our servers unless you save the verse to your Vault.
- Saved verses: Verses you save to your Vault are stored in our database (Supabase) and associated with your account.
- Account information: If you create an account, we store your email address for authentication purposes.
- Subscription data: Subscription status and purchase history are managed by RevenueCat. We do not store payment information directly.
How We Use Your Information
- To deliver emotionally relevant Bible verses based on your input
- To save and sync your Vault across sessions
- To manage your subscription and access level
- To improve the app experience
Third-Party Services
- OpenAI: Mood notes are processed by OpenAI's GPT model to infer emotional context. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this processing.
- Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and database storage.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat. They process purchase data on our behalf.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
- We do not store payment card information
- We do not track your location
Data Retention
Your saved verses and account data are retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@versesense.app.
Children's Privacy
VerseSense is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@versesense.app.
Account Deletion
To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email privacy@versesense.app with the subject line "Delete My Account". We will permanently delete your account, saved verses, and all personal data within 30 days of your request.
